THERAPIST, SUPERVISOR & PRACTICE OWNER

Erin Johnson, LCSW, MFTC, RPT

To me, therapy means building a deep and trusting relationship where healing and balance can be found. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to make these kinds of connections with my clients and support their biggest goals in the process. I started my career as an educator, working with young children and their caregivers. In this work I found that, more than any particular skill or lesson, it was the depth of the relationship that made the most impactful change in people’s lives. After many years of coaching parents in connection with their children, it became clear to me that safe and loving attachment (or lack thereof) is the cornerstone of emotional success and well-being for all people. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the mission of creating opportunities for greater support, care, and understanding in my sessions with clients. Whether you are a parent struggling to connect to your child, a family member in need of greater security with your loved one, or an individual looking to heal the parts of you that have gone unacknowledged, I feel honored to help you cultivate space for change.

THERAPIST

Lizzy White, LPC

Lizzy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who grew up on the Central Coast of California where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Sociology. Motivated to dive deeper into counseling, she pursued and completed her Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy at Naropa University in Boulder, CO, graduating in 2022.

Since 2021, Lizzy has been dedicated to her role as a play therapist, specializing in assisting children facing behavioral challenges and parents navigating parenting difficulties. She desires to incorporate nature into her practice as she continues to follow her passion in working with children, teens, and young adults.

Lizzy's expertise is not only rooted in her extensive mental health experience but also draws from her own life journey. Her education, knowledge, and background have collectively shaped her into the compassionate, empathetic and accepting counselor she is today.

Identifying most strongly with a non-directive, person-centered modality, Lizzy guides clients to focus on the present moment. She encourages exploration of emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations connected to both current experiences and past challenges. Her therapeutic approach aligns with compassionate, non-judgmental support, and the provision of safety, validation, and reflection.

While Lizzy acknowledges the importance of addressing unresolved challenging thoughts, patterns, and feelings, she also emphasizes the significance of a balanced perception in therapy. This involves highlighting clients' positive traits and behaviors, fostering their ability to recognize their potential for growth, wisdom, and healing.
